Marc is a successful technology venture executive and advisor who has built and led high-performance teams across geographies (US / global) and functions (strategy, marketing, product, and finance). As Interim CEO / Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Mach49, he is responsible for helping clients in highly competitive industries make tough organizational changes to ensure success in the long run.
In the last two decades, Marc has developed the skills and experiences required to be a great venture operator and advisor. He delivers results for startups and Fortune 100 companies and has a gift for growing talent and organizational cultures. Before joining Mach49, Marc’s two most recent startups, Budgeta (a SaaS Fintech venture) and OnCue (an over-the-top video subscription incubated company), resulted in exits by acquisition to dominant global players in those respective spaces.
Marc has developed considerable knowledge of enterprise, small business, and consumer markets. In addition to his many roles at technology companies, he has been an Investment Banker at Dean Witter (acquired by Morgan Stanley) and a Management Consultant at McKinsey & Company.
Marc has an MBA and MA in Latin American Studies from Stanford University and a BBA in Honors Business and Finance from the University of Texas at Austin. Outside of work, Marc dedicates his time to numerous boards and committees focused on serving his local community, creating opportunities for children with special needs, and developing distinctive higher education programs. Marc lives in Palo Alto with his wife, three children, and a yellow lab.
