Maria has 25 years of experience in Sales and Marketing in FMCG and petrochemicals sectors in Russia and Europe.

She started her career in Marketing at Johnson & Johnson in the mid 1990s. Then, she continued in Brand Management with Seagram leading several NPD projects in Russia.

In 2000, she joined BP having responsibilities over Marketing and promoting its lubricants business (Castrol) in Russia and CIS countries. Maria has executed many national launches of new products and services, led projects in B2B and B2C sectors, worked on building a network of retail branded outlets in Russia and CIS and implemented a local production project. Castrol in Russia has become one of the strongest brands in the industry with strong route to market, outstanding customer experience, and brand awareness.

In her term with BP, Maria obtained deep international experience spending several years in the UK as a European Brand Manager and then was responsible for Castrol Marketing in Northern Europe.

Currently, Maria works as a Global Project Manager for BP rolling out several global initiatives. In addition to that, she works with several leading business schools in Russia teaching Marketing, Neuro marketing, Agile Essentials, and Emotional Intelligence. Maria is a certified ICF Business Coach and a Business Trainer.

Maria has a BA in Economics from Moscow State University and MBA in International Marketing from The University of Tulsa. She has completed several executive programs with Harvard Business School and Kellogg School of Management.
