Candace is a deals professional with a unique breadth and depth of experience at the intersection of technology, finance, and law. She has led and supported transactions across the deals spectrum, from technology mega-deals of $65B+ to private venture placements of $600k – $6M.
She began her career in FTI's Litigation Consulting practice, conducting economic and financial analysis for SEC investigations, complex commercial litigation, and IP litigation, in venues including the US Supreme Court and International Trade Commission. Later, Candace went on to join Deloitte's Strategy & Operations Consulting Group, where she specialized in M&A with a focus on technology and private equity transactions. During her time there, she served on engagements in over 14 countries and honed her expertise across the deals life cycle, from deal strategy, target acquisition screening, and due diligence to complex integration design and execution.
Making her debut in New York's “Silicon Alley,” Candace served as EquityZen's first Marketplace Director. In addition to managing the Deals team — which tripled in size during her tenure — she oversaw the end-to-end execution of over $150M in deal volume for pre-IPO technology transactions. She was quickly promoted to Brokerage Principal, selected as one of Top 100 Magazine’s 2019 Top 100 People in Finance, nominated as one of FiNext’s Emerging Leaders, and recognized by NYC FinTech Women.
Most recently, Candace focused on driving innovation in the fintech and banking ecosystem by advising large financial institutions on fintech acquisition strategy and execution, as part of PwC's Deals Advisory practice.
Candace holds a BS in economics, a BA in public policy, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from Southern Methodist University, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa. She also holds FINRA Series 7, 63, and 24 securities licenses.
