Denise is a multi-faceted venture builder with expertise in almost all aspects of the startup ecosystem. As an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Mach49’s Singapore office, Denise works with companies to accelerate innovation for internally launched venture startups. She specializes in coaching teams from zero to one, skillfully guiding them through the process of customer discovery, development, prototyping, and storytelling.
Over the past decade, Denise has bootstrapped startups, worked in senior functional roles at Series A companies, mentored startup teams, and managed an incubation program, giving her a unique perspective and insight into the early-stage startup journey.
Most recently, Denise was the Head of Incubation at Singapore Management University where she worked with over 50 early-stage startups to launch and scale their ideas. Prior to that, she held senior People and Sales roles at multiple Series A startups in Singapore and San Francisco, helping to grow teams and revenue from the seed to Series A stage. After beginning her career in management consulting with Accenture, Denise spent eight years in Latin America building and exiting small businesses.
Denise has dual Bachelors’ degrees in Business Administration and Finance, and Social Science and Sociology from SMU.
