Erik has established a long-standing career in innovation strategy and venture creation, both at startups and within Global 1000 companies. Most notably, he has extensive experience in digital strategy and transformation, new business model execution, and client account management.

After starting his career in a high-profile MIT startup, Erik founded his own company, delivering high-profile projects for global clients in EMEA, Asia, and the US.

He then joined Deutsche Telekom’s Board Area Technology and Innovation, where he was responsible for the digital transformation of the global service delivery platform at the heart of the company’s new “Easy to Partner” and “Un-Carrier” strategies. He also led the rollout of extensive artificial intelligence and machine learning efforts, ranging from hybrid bots for customer service to decision strategies for procurement, network optimization, real estate, customer finance, and revenue management.

Erik holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in finance, having studied at Harvard University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the International Institute for Management Development in Switzerland, and the China Europe International Business School. He is a Guest Lecturer at IMD, a TMForum Advisory Board Member, a global keynote speaker, and is fluent in 4 languages.
