Kim is a global HR thought leader who employs a data-driven, human-centric approach to transform businesses’ People functions at every level. Most recently, she led the People function at a high-growth startup in the EV space, where she overhauled the use of talent to better align with business OKRs, scale labor costs, and deliver a better return on talent employed.

Before joining Mach49, Kim lived through the pandemic at Herman Miller, where she oversaw a re-imagination of the office and a shift to a hybrid-modeled, employee-centered work environment. Under her leadership, the organization made leaps and bounds in moving towards continuous performance development, a coaching culture, and deep engagement in equity and belonging.

She also spent over a decade at Trimble, where she implemented new leadership development programs, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and talent acquisition strategies. She led Trimble’s transformation away from traditional HR practices, towards innovative, evidence-based programs that delivered significantly higher levels of retention and engagement.

Kim holds a CPCC certification from the Co-Active Training Institute, a GPHR certification from HRCI, and a bachelor’s degree in French from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
