Marc Spier
VP and General Manager, Venture Transformation

Marc is an experienced venture executive and advisor who has built high-performance teams across global geographies and functions including strategy, marketing, product, and finance. As a Venture Builder, he helps clients in competitive markets execute transformational changes and establish new practices to uncover previously untapped growth opportunities. 

Before joining Mach49, Marc spent 20 years delivering results for startups and Fortune 100 companies alike, earning a reputation for his unique ability to develop talent along the way. In addition to countless roles with tech companies, he spent time as an Investment Banker at Dean Witter — acquired by Morgan Stanley — and as a Management Consultant at McKinsey & Company. His most recent startups, Budgeta and OnCue, were acquired by dominant global players in their respective spaces.

Marc holds an MA in Latin American studies and an MBA from Stanford University, as well as a bachelor’s degree in business and finance from the University of Texas at Austin. Outside of work, he acts as a Board Member for various organizations that serve his local community, creating opportunities for children with special needs and developing distinctive higher education programs. He lives in Austin with his wife, 3 children, and yellow lab.
