Marc, Venture Builder, Venture Transformation Lead, is an experienced venture executive and advisor who has built high-performance teams across global geographies and functions including strategy, marketing, product, and finance.

Marc is no stranger to the excitement of high-risk ventures. His journey from an investment banker to a venture builder began with a grad school epiphany. During a summer internship at Microsoft, his first experience working at a technology company, Marc realized he was hooked. The thrill of the tech scene captivated him, and he happily traded his formal suits for flip-flops and shorts. He knew he’d found his passion.

In the years that followed, Marc established a notable reputation as a venture executive and advisor working with international teams across diverse functions. His exceptional knack for discovering untouched growth prospects and initiating transformative shifts — even in the most competitive markets — earned him well-deserved praise and recognition. Marc’s talent for nurturing others became a trademark of his leadership style, garnering him respect in both startups and Fortune 100 companies alike.

Before joining Mach49, Marc's career spanned roles at several tech firms. He also worked as an Investment Banker at Dean Witter, acquired by Morgan Stanley, and as a Management Consultant at McKinsey & Company. His most recent startups, Budgeta and OnCue, were acquired by dominant global industry leaders in their respective spaces, further cementing Marc’s status as a strategic disruptor.

At Mach49, Marc applies his 20+ years of experience to guide clients through transformative shifts and assist them in tapping into previously untouched growth prospects. In this challenging work, his experience fostering global high-performance teams is priceless.

Marc’s life isn't just about ventures and transformation strategies, however. In Austin, TX, where he lives with his wife, three kids, and a yellow lab, Marc serves on boards for various organizations that serve his local community to create opportunities for children with special needs and to develop distinctive higher education programs. He’s also a committed children’s sports coach, with over 15 seasons across three different sports under his belt. A passionate wine enthusiast, Marc also holds a Level 1 sommelier certification and is always looking for opportunities to expand his knowledge.

Marc holds an MA in Latin American studies and an MBA from Stanford University, as well as a bachelor’s degree in business and finance from the University of Texas at Austin.
