Mike has 17 years of international consulting and product development experience, centered around first-of-their-kind, game-changing technology solutions in the property and casualty insurance industry, in which he holds numerous patents. As a Partner at Future Partners — a Silicon Valley-based innovation firm — Mike teaches rapid ingenuity practices to clients around the world. 

Previously, Mike oversaw development of the world’s most effective claims management system at USAA, and spent 5 years during the dot-com boom as a globetrotting programmer, designing and implementing web infrastructures for IBM clients. 

He was also an intrapreneur at Guidewire Software, where he co-founded a big data business to provide insurance executives with instant, real-time access to personal and industry data for benchmarking, strategic planning, performance analysis, and catastrophe response.

Mike holds a bachelor’s degree in geography from the University of St. Andrews.
