Swapan is a data-driven strategic thinker who is passionate about helping clients seize opportunities to create unique value through corporate venturing activities.

Before joining Mach49, Swapan was an Analyst at investment firm PEAK6. He worked closely with Apex Fintech Solutions, leading due diligence efforts for strategic partnership, investment, and M&A opportunities. He also assisted in product management efforts for Extend — Apex’s turn-key brokerage solution — and contributed to other internal operations initiatives.

Swapan earned a degree in interdisciplinary studies and a certificate in technology and entrepreneurship from the University of California, Berkeley, looking for new perspectives within business, economics, and industrial engineering / operations. His thesis, “The Importance of Federal, Public Market, and Private Market Collaboration for Environmental Sustainability,” analyzed R&D spending between capital allocators and industries, to illustrate historical benefits and areas for improvement in industries such as agriculture, energy, and materials. During his time at Berkeley, he also interned at Aria Pharmaceuticals, Forum Ventures, and Yushan Ventures.
