Laura is a multidisciplinary business operator with over 20 years of global experience in software product management, B2B and B2C marketing, and building and scaling operational teams across customer service, content moderation, and trust and safety.

After beginning her career in the high-end leisure industry as a marketer for nationwide golf, restaurant, and spa properties, Laura joined Intuit and moved into the tech world. For over 7 years in their Small Business division, she managed marketing and branding, product management, and innovation and strategy teams. She was recognized for her work on the redesign of Quickbooks’ inbox experience with the Scott Cook Innovation Award, which is given to those who create innovations that deliver tangible benefits to customers, employees, and shareholders, often against organizational headwinds.

Following her time at Intuit, Laura worked in product management, marketing, and operations at successful startups including Glassdoor, TaskRabbit, and Castlight Health. After joining Glassdoor to oversee all content moderation and community care when the company still had fewer than 100 employees, she helped build an agile, scalable organization that experienced exponential, global growth and efficiently managed millions of user-generated content submissions every year. Her team had the highest retention rates and employee satisfaction scores in the company, consistently meeting SLAs and quality scores while keeping operating costs low. As the head of product management for the business’ content moderation internal toolset, she notably helped launch ML algorithms to auto-moderate 50% of content and to identify and block fraudulent behavior. Before joining Mach49, Laura consulted for various early stage startups, using her diverse skillset to help new businesses launch and scale.

Laura holds a BS from James Madison University and an MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business.
