He has also played a critical role in the success of companies including eMeter (acquired by Siemens), CloudSphere (public and private cloud management), MetricStream (governance, risk, and compliance), RiverMeadow (cloud transformation), Scayl (peer-to-peer secure communications), Tulli (AI-driven mobile platform for technical workers) and Serious (energy efficiency in the built environment).

Unique and notable accomplishments of Mark’s include envisioning and building out one of the world’s first smart grid platforms for the electric industry, relied upon by utilities worldwide; closing and delivering one of the most notable energy efficiency retrofits of all 26,000 windows in the Empire State Building; and successfully initiating, negotiating, and closing strategic deals across North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

Mark earned degrees in computer science and English from the University of the Pacific, a law degree from the University of California’s Hastings College of the Law, and a master’s degree in business from Stanford University.
