With over 20 years based in Silicon Valley, Michele has split her time between operating roles at Fortune 100 companies and strategic advisory roles to companies of all sizes. At Mach49, she’s an Executive-in-Residence working with clients to marry start-up ingenuity with corporate capabilities, building an environment to best support new business launch.
Michele spent over a decade in VP and Director level roles at industry-leading enterprise software companies Oracle, Symantec/Veritas, and Commvault, in diverse functional roles including Strategic Sales, R&D/Product Operations, and Technical Alliances.
Earlier, Michele was VP, Quality and Programs at Yipes Communications (Stage B funded at $300M+), serving as a senior advisor on growth challenges as they scaled. At the time of its acquisition by Reliance Communications, Yipes had 1,000+ enterprise customers and was the leading communications provider to the New York Stock Exchange, Chicago Mercantile Exchange, and NASDAQ.
Michele spent over fifteen years in strategic consulting roles, first at decision and risk consultancy Strategic Decisions Group and then as Principal at the MAC Group/Gemini Consulting in their global High Tech and Telecoms practice. She launched and led Cap Gemini’s Telemedia Lab, the firm’s first Silicon Valley presence seeking software alliances for its global Telecoms practice. Michele also served as independent consultant to local companies, from Fortune 1000 tech firms to small venture-backed startups through Greylock Venture Partners. She brought startup Data Domain their very first customers; post-IPO they were acquired by storage leader EMC Corporation for $2.1B.
Michele’s career started in engineering, sales, and sales training roles at IBM.
Michele holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
