With over 20 years of experience at the intersection of technology, real estate, and finance, Chris has launched new startups, product lines, and divisions within public companies. In addition to being a hands-on operator, he has a background in strategic partnerships, M&A, scaling sales teams, and executing turnarounds.

If you’ve ever shopped for a home online, there is a decent chance Chris had something to do with making it possible. He is best recognized for having scaled two proptech unicorns — Zillow and HomeLight. He served as Zillow’s Vice President of Strategic Partnerships and Industry Relations during the company’s high growth phase, which was infamously responsible for industry evangelism. At HomeLight, Chris’ cash close home trade-in product and other ventures dramatically expanded the business’ total addressable market and directly led to the company securing $109M in Series C funding.

As a Venture Builder at Mach49, Chris mentors New Venture Teams, helping clarify their product vision and operationalize their go-to-market strategy. He also continues to serve as a strategic advisor to several proptech startups, including Side.

He is a graduate of the Anderson School of Management’s Executive Program at the University of California, Los Angeles, and is a licensed Real Estate Broker in California. When he’s not at work, you can find Chris surfing the reef breaks in San Diego or dropping into a double black diamond ski run.
